General notes

This is tram number 52, which is parked on Briercliffe Road next to the Commercial Inn. It was introduced to the system in 1910. This photograph was taken on its final journey. It was the last tram to run up to Harle Syke. Three years later Burnley's entire tram network was retired and buses were used in their place.
