In 1965 the trawler suffered an explosion in her boiler room about 100 miles off the east coast of Scotland on her way to the White Sea fishing grounds. The skipper put in a distress call and the trawler St. Matthew took her in tow back to Hull. The vessel was subsequently scrapped.
