General notes

Collinge's store opened in c1875 at 110 St. James's Street, on the corner of Hammerton Street. The upper floors of the building were Collinge's showrooms, but the ground floor was divided between a number of other shops and trades people. Collinge and Company Limited, were a cabinet makers, upholsterers, house furnishers and decorators. The family also owned a store in St. Annes-on-Sea. The store closed in c1926 and the new tenants were Woolworths.
