These are the original premises of Giles Collinge's Ironmongers, located at number 12 Boot Street. In c1930, Giles moved his shop to number 36 Boot Street, where it remained until its demolition in the 1960's. After the shop had moved, the orginal premises were maintained as a warehouse for the business. This was also demolished in the 1960's and replaced by more modern shops.
