General notes
This bank was located on the corner of Hargreaves Street and St. James' Row. Originally built to house the Craven Bank in 1884 it became part of the Liverpool Bank in 1906. By 1918 the Liverpool and Martins started to merge and in 1928 Martin's took sole ownership of the bank. The bank closed its doors for the final time on the 30th May 1963 and moved to new premises on Manchester Road. This building was then demolished and replaced with a 60's, modernist office block.
