A double decker tram makes its way down to the lower end of St. James's Street. On the right is the Palace Hippodrome. It opened in December 1907 and had a variety of uses during its lifetime, including cinema, stage productions, variety, pantomimes and bingo. It finally closed its doors for good in 1971 and was demolished in 1974.
