Jennie Jackson AKA Young Kitchener was a young girl who took it upon herself to raise money to provide parcels and equipment for the soldiers fighting in World War One. Here she is stood on the corner of Market Street and St. James's Street dressed in a uniform similar to that of Lord Kitchener, collecting money for the soldiers. Here she can be seen meeting Queen Alexandra at Marlborough House in London to hand over a military ambulance she raised money to buy.
