Thomas S. Knight was Head of this farming family in 1901. Aged 66 he was a native of Ulverston. His wife Eleanor age 53 came from Whitehaven. Living with them were their son William H age 34 who was also a farmer and employer, daughters Carolina J. aged 28 and Mary E. 26, who were all born in Whitehaven. Also living at the farm were four farm labourers.
