General notes

The Hall Inn was located on Church Street and was originally built in 1510 as an overflow for the Towneley family's guests. The inn's ground floor became home to Burnley's theatre in the 1800's and in 1857 the frontage was rebuilt, as can be seen in this photograph. However, in 1907 it was demolished in order to make way for a floral building.
