12th Leyland Battalion Lancashire Home Guard was affiliated to the Loyal (North Lancashire) Regiment whose cap badge they wore. The Battalion was formed in May 1940, made up of platoons of men in reseved occupations or were too young to serve in the armed forces.
They were based at a 'hut' in Leige Road, Leyland
