Clocktower Mill, owned by Watts Slaters was located on Sandygate. This photograph was taken from Neptune Street, with the Neptune Inn (which closed in 1914) on the bottom right hand side. The Mill was destroyed by fire in 1987 and lay a ruin until the site was cleared in 2004.
