A photograph of Briercliffe Road taken shortly before the tram line was extended up to Harle Syke from Lane Head in 1912.

The photographer stood on the right hand side of the road, next to the Harle Syke Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. This was built in 1903, but closed as a place of worship in 1985. Further up (4th building along, left hand side) is the Commercial Inn.
