Jennie Jackson A.K.A. Young Kitchener having her photograph taken with Victoria Cross recipient Thomas Whitham. Jennie Jackson raised money for the war effort in Burnley town centre. She later married and become known as Mrs. Flynn. Shortly after the war Thomas tragically died. His V.C. was purchased by Burnley Council and is now housed in the Towneley Museum collection.
