This photograph of Healey Wood Road was taken during the mid 1930's, as some of the buildings on the lower part of the street were starting to be demolished because they were deemed unfit for human habitation.

The building closest to the camera is Healey Wood Inn, which closed in 1973. Apart from the houses at the top of the street, on the other side of the railway bridge, nothing else remains.
