A colour postcard of the junction between Church Street and Ormerod Road. In the late 1800's Burnley Corporation redeveloped the old Georgian centre of Burnley, on what was then known as Godley Lane, into a modern Victorian boulevard. At the end of the road the two inns were both rehoused in modern buildings.
