A photograph of the Talbot Hotel on the corner of Talbot Lane and Church Street. The Talbot Inn was built in 1626 and was originally known as the Parker's Arms. However, renovation of the area in the late 1800's led to its rebuilding in 1888. It is possible that one of the two ladies standing outside is the landlady, Mrs Ann Briercliffe who is listed in the 1879 Barrett's trade directory.
