A view from the window of Barlow's Chemists' shop. Opened in c1895, this was the third of Joseph Alexander Barlow's chemists' shops in the town. It was located on the corner of where Accrington Road used to meet Padiham Road. The business was passed on to his sons who ran the shop until it closed in 1973, prior to demolition of the area.
