General notes

Scotforth pottery was a small country pottery. The cottage and outbuildings which formed the pottery were sited near the ford over Burrow Beck in what is now an open landscaped area on the Hala Housing Estate. The buildings were demolished in the l960s when the Estate was being laid out.
