A digital copy of the original image, probably originally from a postcard, was donated to us by Mrs Anne Stevenson of Preston in Jun 2012. It shows the float for the cotton manufacturer Horrockses, Crewsdon & Co. Ltn. Anne's Great Grandfather brought his family from Burnley, where he worked at Primrose Mill,to work in the new Centenary Mill in Preston.
