The view on the postcard shows old tram lines on North Drive (now Clifton Drive). In 1896, gas trams were introduced from South Station, Blackpool to St. Annes and later Lytham by Blackpool, St. Annes and Lytham Tramway Company. In 1903, Lytham trams were converted to electric power.
