This image is one of a set of photographs, mainly from the 1940s onwards, which were donated to St Annes Library by the Lytham St Annes Express when they moved office in 2011.

On the back of the photograph is the name Mrs Mary Wilkinson and the word/name "Pollyanna".

In 1951 (see 16/11/1951) the Peter Rabbit Hotel was advertising in local and national papers as a "Small first class hotel for children only". The charge for babies was 1.5 guineas a week and children over 2 years were charged 1 guinea.
The hotel was situated at 11 Eastbank Road, St Annes. It was owned by Mary Hamilton and Mary Wilkinson. Its name was changed in 1952 to 'Teddy Bear Hotel'.
The pram in the photograph was called 'Pollyanna.'
