This shows the Winter Gardens in Morecambe, set up for wrestling; This building was demolished c1982, and preceeded by a number of years the building of the Victoria Pavilion next door, the complex as a whole becoming known as The Winter Gardens, the pavilion, fitted out as a music hall, remains.

The building shown had a variety of uses, including indoor seawater bathing using water drawn from tanks under the original jetty (later the site of the wooden jetty) which were topped up by the tide.
