The image is a photographic print from a postcard. Lytham Cottage Hospital was built in 1871 by John Talbot Clifton for the workers on his estate. The building and hospital services were expanded following the founding of the NHS in 1948. The original cottage hospital was demolished in 2008 to make way for the Lytham Primary Care Centre which opened in 2009.
