In 1896, gas trams were introduced from South Station, Blackpool to St. Annes and later Lytham by Blackpool, St. Annes and Lytham Tramway Company. In 1903, Lytham trams were converted to electric power. Photo shows British Electric Car Company tram no.5, May 1903.
