User comments: 'As a cotton weaving mill it was traditionally known as Bury's. When the mill closed, the premises at Pickup Street were then occupied for a number of years by Rist Wires. Following demolition of the buildings a modern housing estate of about 80 homes was built on the site.' 01/04/2024.
