User comments: 'Coming up Union Road, just below St. Paul's School and near the present Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village. In the past, this area was known as Busk.

A bit further up Union Road was Oswaldtwistle Town Hall, headquarters of the Urban District Council. Just after the Town Hall, two short streets on the left - Mount Pleasant Street and Chapel Street - led to the Wesleyan Methodist Day School and Chapel.

The Primary School, now known as Hippings Methodist, relocated to a modern building in the 1970s. The Church is now a modern, single-storey building - Rhyddings Methodist - with a Church Hall adjacent, on the site of the former School.' 02/04/2024.
