View looking North across the bridge of the Shard Bridge Inn, beyond which lies Hambleton. Before the bridge was built in 1864 there was a Ford. Standing at the Toll Gate is Mathew Bamber, who's wife, with others, made 'Wardleys Toffee'. The bridge was replaced in 1993. This is the original photo.....see iBase ID230069 for a larger copy.
