General notes

The tower of St. Thomas the Martyr church, on Church Street. The nave is an example of the Decorated period. There is evidence to show that it was intended to construct a T-shaped church with transepts and a tower larger than the existing one. The cruciform shape was not possible due to the fall in the ground surface. Building on the right is the Conservative Club.
