Built in 1879, it was named after the various engineering companies who were located in this particular part of the town.
It is also located close to the Sager Street Brewery and was no doubt supplied with there produce.
Demolished in 1984 to improve visibility along Netherfield Road. As Sager Street by this time was the main entrance for the town Bus Station.
