General notes

In the early 20th century this was known as the 'Worst blind bend' in Nelson. As a result the former outbuildings of Oak bank were demolished to improve visability. The barn wall streched out as far as the circle in the middle of the roundabout (on the left hand side).
Nelson Old Brass Band Club (former Clifford House) is located on the right of the junction.
At the time of the image, a small childrens play area is located on the site of Oak Bank, and this is one of the most open junctions in Nelson.
