Formerly a house and farmhouse, the result of the sub-division of a high status dwelling in 1880.
Scholefield bought by Christopher Aspden in 1599, the house was built in 1617, with later alterations and additions in the C17.
Sold to Lawrence Ormerod in 1624.
The two parts were reformed into one dwelling in late C20.
