Following the completion of St.Anne's Pier in 1885, the sea front was developed with footpaths and garden walks during the 1890s. Postcard is addressed to Mr.Barrowclough, Barrowford. Message reads: "Dear Friend, Hope you are home all safe & enjoyed yourselves at London we are all well and it is fine weather here I have not seen Mr. Bodden yet. Yours ?.Skinner"
