General notes
Marsden Hall is a grade II listed building in Marden Park, Nelson. Originally the home of the Walton family the Hall and gardens were bought by Nelson Corporation in 1912. In Christmas 1981 the Hall was opened as a restaurant, though this closed a few years later. Later the hall was used by Walton Lane Nursery as a base for their Forest School. The aviary on the left of the building has now been removed.
