View of Market Square, South to North.
Building at at Northern end (demolished 1935) has "Cyclists Rest" sign. In later dated photos the rectangular shaped windows were curved.
The shop below the Masonic Hall (behind the 'Bus') is Cooperative ~ Blackburn(?) ~ Society Ltd.
The local bus is a genuine "stage coach" service!!!
Note the cobbles and the "Jubilee Lamp" dating the photo after 1887.
