Built by George Sante in 1909, the theatre seated 2000 and was known locally as the Pav. They presented a mixed bill with films being shown after the live acts. In the 1920s The Pavillion became a very popular cinema, especially the double seats at the back. In 1962 it became a bingo hall and closed some years later. The building fell into disrepair and was later demolished.
