"Fairhaven Lake and Golf Links after the sea broke through the sea wall during a storm on 6 October 1896. The photograph was taken from opposite St Paul's Avenue, looking towards Lytham. The golf club's bungalow is in the distance; the railway track to the left is now Inner Promenade. The club subsequently moved; the bungalow later became the Lakeside Cafe"
