General notes
This photograph was taken from the Odeon Cinema on the corner of Broadway and Cornhill.
Attached to the photograph is a quote, possibly by Garth Dawson: "Broadway 1960's at the far end was the Odeon Cinema, the cinema was reputed to be haunted, myself and a report spent a night in the building looking for the ghost... Alas nothing only fear fo[r] both of us. The Odeon was opened in 1037, [1937] and its original name was the Regal."
This image was kindly provided by Garth Dawson's family, who also retain the copyright. It has been made available in Red Rose Collections by volunteers as part of the Keeping East Lancashire in the Picture project.
