Ellison's Tenement was a large open space off Hyndburn Road. It was used by travelling circuses and for the annual fair. The Accrington Pals also used it as a parade ground. This view looks towards Hyndburn Road and Fort Street (on the right). In the background are the gasworks and the premises of Gilbraith Commercials Ltd
