Taken at the Smallpox hospital, Baxenden. William Henry Rushton married Ada Maud Rushton (nee Percival) in 1891 . Ada died in 1892 and William then married Margaret (nee Cutts) in 1895. Ernest Rushton was born in 1912 and was the son of William and Margaret. They had four other children: fred born in 1896, Gilbert born in 1897 who then married May Nuttall in 1921, Margaret Minnie born in 1899, Martha born 1902 who married Harry Whiteoak in 1924 and Mary Elizabeth born 1905. William and Ada (his first wife) had a daughter Ada Maud born in 1892 who went on to marry George Percival in 1915.
