General notes
Known as 'Little Tommy'. He worked as a hawker, but in later life ended up in the Haslingden Poor Law Union Workhouse at Pike Law. He left there, however, and went to live in the lodging house at 12, Duke Street kept by Mr and Mrs J Woodyard. Here he died on 28th September 1888. Some sources say he was 69, others 76.
