General notes
Photo taken in March 1960 . this building on Macleod Street was burned down a month later during the Easter holidays. fire thought to have been caused by the vestry curtain blowing against lighted candles. St Joseph's Church was the upper storey of the school and the whole building was completely destroyed except for the wall by the statue of St Joseph. The statue stood on the gable end above the church doorway. The Priest's house and the Infant School still stand because the school yard separated them from the main building. The church was rebuilt but the school was removed to the unused Holy Saviours building Bankhouse Road.
