General notes
Ripples

A most delightful study of two children, one sat on the ledge of rock, and the other with his arm on the shoulder of the girl, and both looking down at the ripples in the stream below.
It is all perfectly natural, and the two figures are almost lifelike, in the intent of watching the rippling stream that flows beneath the rocky shelve.
The surroundings are in keeping, as if in the natural haunt of a wooded dell, wherein children love to haunt by the water side
When its crystal riches
would ripple and pour
From a fountain channel, fresh and dank
Mid flowery rush and grassy bank
