General notes

This is an old farmstead situated on a branch of the old Kings Highway, near the foot of Moleside, and close neighbours to Blue Slates, just to the right of the old highway leading from High Riley to Mary Hoyle well and Hameldon. This building shows evidence of 18th century date, but was considerably restored during the 19th century, and was occupied the Shuttleworth family for a long period.
