Coal Clough Lane Bridge, Burnley
Burnley
Coal Clough Lane was originally constructed as part of the old route between Burnley and Edenfield, before being superseded by Manchester Road in 1795. The buildings pictured here weren't constructed until the latter half of the 19th century, when industrial development spread to this part of the town.

This particular photograph of Coal Clough Lane was taken from the junction with Sandygate. It shows the bridge over the railway shortly before it was widened.
