This is taken from close to a shelter that used to be in front of the pier looking down St Annes Rd West towards the town centre. The tower on top of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church can be seen in the distance in the middle of the photograph.

Behind the horse and cart there is a procession heading towards the pier. As yet we don't know what the procession would be related to (Aug 2010).
