A photograph taken from the Pendle Street Footbridge of the Padiham to Burnley Railway Line. The photograph was taken looking towards Burnley.

The railway to Padiham opened in 1875. The passenger line closed in 1957 and the station was duly demolished. However, the line remained open in order to deliver coal to Padiham power station. The line closed for good when the power station was demolished in 1993. The line is now a footpath.
