Full title of postcard is "Maxim Flying Machine, Blackpool, travelling at 40 miles an hour."This is one of several of Sir Hiram Maxim's "Captive Flying Machines" built as a fairground ride in 1904. This one in Blackpool is still operating at the Pleasure Beach.
The postcard is postmarked July 21, 1906, and is addressed to Miss A. Walker, Fishpool.
The postcard reads: "Dear Annie, A lovely day a great many people here Lizzie" .
