This shows a view looking south eastwards towards St Thomas' Road. The van on the left belongs to the Fylde District Steam Laundry. Two of the shops on the left hand side are the drapers, T Telford and Watt's chemists which were at 5 and 11 St Davids Road South respectively at this time.

After this image appeared in the Lytham St Annes Express we were told that Telford's shop remained in in the family until the late 1950s.

This is one of a set of copies of images (presumably the originals were postcards) that were donated anonymously to St Annes Library in 2011. In spite of publicity in the local newspaper we have had no further information about the donor. If anyone has information about the images or the donor we would be pleased to hear from them.
