General notes
Broadway was opened to traffic on the 30th June 1936 and was formed mainly on the site of the former Spring Mill and old police station. The River Hyndburn had been culverted so that the new road could be built. The Regal Cinema (later the Classic) was opened in Broadway in 1937.
