Photograph shows the entrance to Thorneyholme. The house in Dunsop Bridge was originally in the West Riding of Yorkshire until reorganisation of local government in 1974. It was the home of John Towenley, 13th Lord of Bowland until his death in 1878. Before this Richard Eastwood, land agent to the Towneleys and a breeder of racehorses and short horn cattle lived there.
